Lisa Fitting spent fifteen years with the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department as Assistant General Counsel, Human Resources Director, Director of Operations and finally Deputy Cabinet Secretary. Prior to that, she spent five years working for the New Mexico Department of Health as Assistant General Counsel, and three years as a law clerk for the New Mexico Court of Appeals.

She is committed to fostering and supporting the well-being of New Mexico and New Mexico citizens and moving the State forward in all ways possible. She strongly believes in the potential and value of government services and has spent her career working towards the betterment of those services.

Lisa is thrilled to embark on the new adventure of building a department that is very-much needed to balance the child welfare system in New Mexico by providing children and families with the high-quality support and representation they deserve.

In her spare time, Lisa loves to read, do yoga, play with her pets and spend a lot more money on Amazon than she should!
